Clean Carfax and One Owner with all the goodies! Backup Camera, Blind Spot Monitor, Bluetooth, Climate Control, Cross Traffic Alert, Heat Seats, Heated Steering Wheel, Navigation and much more. The 2014 Cadillac SRX has sporty road manners and a sumptuous cabin. The SRX’s 308-horsepower V6 engine provides more than enough power to pass and merge on the highway, but it won’t give you white knuckles. The six-speed automatic transmission works well but can sometimes be slow to downshift. Expect 16-17 mpg in the city and 23-24 mpg on the highway, depending on whether the model has front- or all-wheel drive. Build quality is excellent in the stylish SRX, with ample seating space for four. You can hold five passengers in a pinch, but it’s a tight fit. There are two complete sets of LATCH car-seat connectors in the rear outboard seats and a tether-only connection in the middle seat. Leatherette upholstery and a power-adjustable driver’s seat come standard. Luxury models add leather, heated front seats, and a power-adjustable passenger seat. Some models have heated rear outboard seats. On the downside, rearward visibility is poor, and the optional sunroof cuts into headroom.Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, Cadillac’s CUE infotainment system, a Bose eight-speaker sound system, satellite radio, a USB port, an SD card reader, HD Radio, and Bluetooth for phone calls and audio streaming. Various packages offer some useful add-ons, like a rear-seat entertainment system and navigation. The CUE system has a vibrant touch-screen display, but its interface has a learning curve and is not particularly intuitive. Prices for a used 2014 Cadillac SRX range from about $21,500 for a base model to almost $30,000 for an all-wheel drive Premium model. Prices vary depending on the vehicle's trim, condition, mileage, and location. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 2014 SRX the highest score of Good in four areas tested. The SRX also earned five out of five stars overall from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Unlike many others in the class, the SRX doesn’t come standard with advanced safety features. You have to upgrade to the Luxury trim or better to get a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and rear cross traffic alert. Some models also have forward collision warning, front and rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and lane departure warning. An available safety alert seat communicates safety warnings by vibrating the driver’s seat. For more information, check out Today’s Advanced Safety Features, and What They Do.
